On the road again

We head for Thailand today to spend Songkran (Thai/Buddhist New Year) in Krabi province, where we spent a wonderful holiday in January 2009. We are also headed to Nakhon Si Thammarat, part of Thailand I have never visited before.

I am casing out settings for my next Jayne Keeney novel. Andrew and Natasha are coming along for the ride. We’ll also spend time in Singapore on the way back, where Andrew will be conducting fieldwork for his next story.

We are travelling without phones (OMG!) or computers (OMG!!), but hope to survive despite these deprivations. I hope to have enough internet access for the occasional blog post.

Meanwhile, comments I made at the recent Writers at the Convent festival made it into a recent column by Jane Sullivan here.
