Behind the Night Bazaar is launched

Book launch signingI was thrilled to be surrounded by about 60 family members and friends last night at Readings in Carlton where my friend and mentor Christos Tsiolkas launched Behind the Night Bazaar. Thanks to everyone who came along to celebrate what is for me a dream come true. And thanks to Helen Morgan for the beautiful photos she took on the night. You can see more of them on my Flickr site.

I’m supposed to be planning a 40th birthday party for later this year, but I’m not sure I can top last night! Perhaps I should hold it in a bookshop…

Coinciding with the launch, the first review appeared yesterday on the Australian Crime Fiction Database. Though it doesn’t give away the ending, it contains one or two spoilers; so you might want to wait until you’ve read the book before reading the review.
