Eyes on the prize

By angelasavage

I will be part of a panel of speakers at the Victorian Writers’ Centre this Tuesday 20 February 2007 talking on the topic ‘Eyes on the Novel Prize – Winners and Judges Tell All’. I’ll be joining fellow Premier’s Literary Award for an Unpublished Manuscript by an Emerging Victorian Author prize winner Andrew Hutchinson (2006, for Rohypnol) and Joel Becker, VWC Director and judge for the prize in 2003 and 2004 (the year I won for Thai Died). I’ve been asked to discuss how I prepared for the prize and what it’s meant for my publishing career. The story telling will begin at 6.30pm at The Space at the VWC, First Floor, Nicholas Building, 37 Swanston Street, Melbourne. Watch this space for further insights.

And Happy Chinese/Vietnamese/Lunar New Year of the (Fire) Pig!
